Client Expectations






The picture above shows the kind of thing 
people expect when the words "English 
Barrister" are used. In fact the picture 
was taken as an amusement and shows me 
not long after I was called to the Bar.

It is important to recognise that,particularly 
in the international and commercial sphere, 
the English Barrister of today is a multi-
faceted professional conversant with not only 
the laws of various jurisdictions, but also 
practical methods of achieving the goals of the 
client.

Often, the expectations of a client can be met 
or even exceeded; there are times, however, 
when it is the proper job or duty of the 
barrister to tell the client that his 
expectations cannot be met - and why.
